Other Way To Use Listerine Other Than Mouthwash

The Million-Dollar Question – Why Listerine?
Most commonly people use Listerine only as a mouthwash, but the real fact is that its inventors had much more in mind. Listerine was formulated in 1879 and it was origanially developed as a surgical antiseptic and, historically, has been used for all sorts of things. Moreover, it wasn’t marketed for bad breath until the 1970s. The reason why Listerine can be used in many creative ways is because it contains helpful ingredients like thyme, eucalyptus and alcohol.
  1. Rub It Under Your Arms
If you ever find yourself in a situation without deodorant, don’t panic, we have the perfect solution for you. All you have to do is to pour some Listerine onto a cotton ball and gently dab it under your arms. Listerine will help you fight underarm odors whenever you are in a pinch.
  1. Soak Your Feet in It
If you are dealing with toenail fungus, yet again  Listerine is the solution. You just have to make yourself a Listerine foot bath and allow your toes to soak for half an hour. You can also add a little bit of white vinegar for particularly bad cases.
  1. Pour It Down the Toilet
Listerine can also clean and deodorize your bowl, you just have to pour a little bit in and use a toilet brush to give things a light scrub. Beside cleaning your toilet, it will also will also give it a great shine and a good smell.
  1. Dab It On Your Itches
Yes, you’ll be shocked when we tell you that dabbing Listerine on your itchy bug bites can give you some much-needed relief. The experts highly recommend using it for itchy reactions to poison ivy or poison oak!
  1. Wet Your Hair with It
In the past Listerine was marketed as a way to get rid of dandruff. If you want to try it, you just need to massage some Listerine onto the scalp, wrap your hair in a towel, and wash it out after you’ve allowed it to do its work!
  1. Rub It On Your Dog
Instead of using harsh chemicals like flea sprays and products for your pet, you can use some Listerine. Note: you can mix it with shampoo in a bath or dilute it with water! Or, you can use it as a spray.
  1. Put It On Your Face
A friend of mine was struggling with acne, and after she tried everything on the market, she decided to try with Listerine and now she is very satisfied with the results. She only applied a little bit of Listerine in the morning and before bedtime.
  1. Stick Your Toothbrush in It
As we all know, Listerine is used to battle germs in your mouth. Well, if you didn’t know, it can also take care of the yucky germs on your toothbrush. All you have to do si to fill your nightstand glass with a little bit of the mouthwash and let your toothbrush soak. A couple of hours should be more than enough to do the trick!
  1. Spray It On Your Screen
Even if it sounds crazy and unbelievable, you can use Listerine to clean your computer or television screen. Take a cloth and spray some Listerine on it and you can use it to wipe away fingerprints and unwanted gunk. An added bonus will be the minty smell, as opposed to the “chemical smell” often accompanying normal cleaning products.
  1. Toss It in The Trash
You all know that the garbage in your kitchen can smell terrbile, so in order to prevent that, before putting garbage in the bag, put a Listerine-soaked paper towel in the very bottom. This will keep things smelling fresh and minty!
